FAQs About Our Facilities

  • What is your total capacity?

Because we have so many indoor and outdoor spaces, the answer to this question depends on the nature of the event you’d like to host and which spaces you’ll need access to.

Please contact us to tell us what you have in mind, and we’ll try our best to make it work.

  • Is catering available?

Yes! Our state-of-the-art kitchen is managed by a Red Seal Chef who leads a very talented team.

Our Chef can build a menu that works for your budget and group’s dietary needs. Snack options are available!

  • Can we bring our own food?

Yes! Groups can choose to provide their own meals and snacks while on-site. However, we do ask that guests respect that we are a nut and shellfish-free facility.

  • Can I serve alcohol?

We are not a licenced facility, so we cannot serve alcohol on-site. However, legal-aged group bookings are able to bring their own alcohol.

For insurance purposes, we have designated areas where alcohol can be consumed and there may be some limitations to activities we can offer to participants who are consuming alcohol.

  • Do you provide linen packages?

We are happy to provide bedding sets for your participants for a charge of $15 per set, which will be added to your final invoice.

    Our bedding sets include:

    • a pillow
    • a pillowcase
    • a fitted sheet
    • a flat sheet
    • a fleece blanket
    • a quilt

We are able to provide up to 25 sets of bedding.

  • Do you provide housekeeping?

Yes! We have a year-round housekeeping team onsite that keep our facilities impeccably clean and safe.

  • Can we facilitate our own activities?

Yes! While Brigadoon staff must facilitate certain programs for you (the high ropes course, for example!), you’re welcome to add in your own. We aim to help you achieve the desired outcomes from your visit to ensure participants go home with a meaningful and impactful experience.

We recommend you contact us to discuss the types of activities you are interested in as well as any you would like to host yourself. Our team will collaborate with you to design a schedule specific to your group and their needs.

  • Do my guests and I need to sign waivers?

We ask that you and your guests (or parent/guardians of guests under 18) sign a waiver before participating in any activities at Brigadoon.

A copy of this waiver can be provided to you upon request.

  • What is the closest town and which amenities are nearby?

We are located in the heart of the Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia.

Nearby are several small towns, including Berwick, Coldbrook, Kentville, and New Minas. These towns all have gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants, and shops.
