MEDIA ADVISORY: “A Rising Tide Lifts all Boats”: Charities for sick children join forces for inaugural Maritime Kids Health Day, September 14, 2021

IWK Foundation, Ronald McDonald House Charities Atlantic, Brigadoon Village, and Make-A-Wish join forces for the first time to amplify the importance of children’s health in the Maritimes.

September 14, 2021 – Today, September 14, 2021, we celebrate the inaugural Maritime Kids Health Day — an unprecedented partnership between the IWK Foundation, Ronald McDonald House Charities Atlantic, Brigadoon Village and Make-A-Wish to amplify the health of children in the Maritimes.

The goal of Maritime Kids Health Day is to extend our collective thanks to our communities who have so generously and passionately supported our individual organizations over the years. It is only with their support that we are able to provide a unified network of pediatric care to improve the health and well-being of children in our region.

On this day, every year, we will join forces to raise awareness of the importance of Maritimers coming together to raise up our kids and their families. We are stronger together and all play a role in the journey for our sick children.
