Facility Rental Questions
How many people does each lodge hold? What bathroom facilities are available?
Each lodge has 28 beds divided into 5 rooms. Each lodge has 4 private bathrooms complete with private showers and opens into a large open space for meetings or relaxation. Lodges are 2500 square feet each. We encourage you to bring your own bedding. Linens are provided by request only and for a fee. Two of the five cabins are insulated allowing us to host up to 56 people between the months of November-March, and 140 people from March to November.
What is the food like?
If you know someone who has stayed at Brigadoon before, we can guarantee that they raved about the food! Our Red Seal Executive Chef, Dianne Kendall, is known for her delicious, creative, world-class recipes. Her creations are gourmet and extend above and beyond traditional camp meals. Her extraordinary kitchen team offers customized meals served each day. If you have dietary restrictions please let our staff know when you book. All meals are healthy, shellfish free, and nut free.
Is there a fire pit available for our use?
Yes, there is a fire pit and firewood available. Your site supervisor will check the fire at 11 pm, if it is still in use, the supervisor leaves a bucket of water and your group is responsible to put it out.
Is there a set quiet time?
No, there is not a set quiet time, however, the site supervisor goes to bed at 11 pm and the Dining Hall is locked at that time.
Are we able to swim in the lake or do we need a lifeguard?
You are welcome to swim in the lake at scheduled times and only with a lifeguard present. The lifeguard is scheduled at an additional fee.
What are our options for meeting places?
The Classroom has the capacity of 30 and works great as a breakout room or other indoor meeting/activity space.
The Arts Hall is a seasonal un-insulated large indoor space that can seat up to 100 people and includes an indoor wheelchair accessible stage area, sound equipment and lighting.
If you are a small group the common area of each cabin is a great space for meetings for up to 20 people.
The dining hall can seat 180 and is our biggest, year-round space for meetings.
What equipment is available for my meeting?
On-site there are flipcharts, sound system, screen, markers, LCD projector.
What program activities are available?

Some programming is weather dependent.
Do we bring our own outdoor equipment?
No, we have all sorts of sports equipment on site from frisbees, footballs, soccer balls and all other programming supplies.
Can I bring food/beverages on site?
We do not allow groups the use of our kitchen as it is industrial and must be managed by a qualified professional. Some groups do choose to bring their own snacks but they must be nut-free. If your group is interested in having alcohol on site please contact us to discuss the details.
Should I bring my own camping chair?
Brigadoon has benches around the site but some adults find it difficult to sit on a bench for long periods of time. You are welcome to bring your own lawn chair if you think you will be more comfortable.
Will there be a lost and found?
Yes, there is a lost and found on site, if you are missing something after you arrive home you can call Brigadoon and staff will check for you. Brigadoon is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Are there electrical outlets?
Yes, each cabin has outlets in all the rooms and bathrooms, as well as each room in the other facilities.
Are there laundry facilities available?
Only in the case of an emergency.
What should I bring?
Please talk to the organizers of your visit to discuss a packing list and items to bring.
Does the site meet Accessibility Requirements in the National Building code of Canada?
Yes, the site is barrier-free and wheelchair accessible.
