Camp Kedooopse is the first overnight summer camp of its kind in Atlantic Canada for children and youth aged 7-18 who are experiencing grief due to the loss of a loved one.
Campers take part in a wide range of camp activities, make meaningful connections with others, and build valuable skills which will help them to be successful outside of the camp environment, as well. All of this takes place during a week full of exceptional fun!
Campers take part in grief sessions in which they discuss their loved one, work to process their grief, and learn healthy coping skills to take home with them. In order to benefit from this program, campers should be willing and able to participate in these discussions and to develop these skills.
This camp session will take place at the same time as Camp BELIEVE (parent/guardian mental illness).
Please note that your registration does not guarantee your child a spot. Brigadoon, in conjunction with its medical team, will review all applications and offer spots based on need and eligibility criteria.
